Eilidh Ross
Eilidh studied International Relations & Politics at Aberdeen University (MA (Hons)) before obtaining her law degree at Strathclyde University.
Eilidh qualified as a Solicitor in 2008 and worked with a large Highland firm in Inverness before joining Inksters. She continues to be based in Inverness, specialising in crofting law and related issues. In addition to advising clients for Inksters, she is also on secondment on a part time basis to the Crofters Commission, providing legal advice to Commissioners and Commission staff.
Eilidh is a member of the Scottish Crofting Federation and the Crofting Law Group, and has been Editor of the latter’s Newsletter since 2007. Eilidh has also lectured on crofting law to students at Strathclyde University, and participates in the Law Society of Scotland’s Rural Affairs Committee. Last year she worked with Derek Flyn to produce an annotated version of the Crofters (Scotland) Act 1993 for an Edinburgh publisher (W Green, Scottish Landlord and Tenant Legislation), and is working on a similar project involving the Crofting Reform (Scotland) Act 2010 for publication in 2011.
